Join me here to explore the sacred space where creativity, spirituality, and ecstasy meet.

"In a way, the maker (artist) gives us a small taste of that larger art-
the new world we are trying to build-
a world in which each person,
each country,
lives in harmonious relationship with each other person
and country.
There is a Zen statement, After ecstasy the laundry,
which we might reverse to say.
After much laundry comes a moment of ecstasy.
The smaller ecstasies (arts) keep us nourished
so that we have the strength to continue working on the larger art."
~ Chapter: Beginning, Learning by Heart, by Corita Kent, 2008 Edition, Page 5

For some months now, I've been tapping into this ecstasy feeling and have been pondering
how it is intertwined in everything I do.
Particularly, where creativity, spirituality, and ecstasy seem to meet.
Corita Kent's book "Learning by Heart" (where the quote above is from),
touched on the word ecstasy many times in her book,
as do all of Oriah Mountain Dreamer's books.
I've been reading "What we ache for: Creativity and the Unfolding of Your Soul"
by Oriah Mountain Dreamer recently.
She talks about creativity, spirituality, and sexuality all connecting.
This has been a kind of seed in the back of my mind that has been growing something within me.
It's not about flow. I can't quite put what I mean into words yet.
Over time, I am sure the words will come to me.
Anyway, that is all for today.
I hope this has given you food for thought,
and that you enjoy some smaller ecstasies on this glorious Sunday!

P.S. Remember to look up at the sky today.
