“Live in the present, launch yourself on every wave, find eternity in each moment.”
~ Henry David Thoreau

Do you think that colour makes you feel a certain something?
It most definitely does for me!
When I think about colour,
it emanates feeling, mood, healing, balance, being, energy, self-expression, imagination,
and so much more.
Today it's about Magenta.
Magenta is a combination of red and violet, such a magical colour.
Made famous for its role in colour printing as “M” in CMYK.
Red-violet doesn’t really exist on the spectrum as such,
as it’s a combination of wavelengths at opposite ends of the visible light spectrum.
Red-violet is a non-spectral colour, according to Dr Brian Cugelman of AlterSpark,
because you can’t directly see it on the spectrum.
🌈
To me, colour conveys internal feelings.
Yesterday I bought a bright magenta-coloured T-shirt because it represents harmony, emotional balance,
spiritual growth and symbolises change, kindness, and character.
This links to my use of colour breathing as a form of mindfulness and as a relaxation technique.
I found the following visualisation technique online earlier this year.
It really works for me.
Why not try it and see if it works for you, too!
"pick a colour
close your eyes
take a slow deep breath in
breathe in white light coming in through your skull, face, forehead, nostrils, mouth, eyes, ears
the white light is filling your lungs like a cup being filled with crystal clear water
hold it there for a second and feel its power
now breathe out a misty cloud of your colour.
feel it surround your head and then shoulders and then body.
breathe it out into your aura or energy field.
do this as many times as you need to feel awesome + charged."

I'll finish with a quote today, because I love my quotes!
"... the purest and most thoughtful minds are those which love colour the most."
~ John Ruskin, The Stones of Venice (1851-1853)
