Tuning into the Wild Within

for Thursday!

 

 

Wishing everyone a belated Happy Hopping Easter!

I truly hope you enjoyed some wild time in the wilderness.

 

Today I was pondering what it is about the wilderness that makes me and others feel so alive and content?

For sure, it is the animals and birds, the trees and flowers, the sky, the sand and earthy soil, the rocks and water, the amazing landscape,  the sunlight, and the glow of the moonlight... but it's gotta be something more, right?

I know I am drawn to the feeling of the wildness of it all.

A wildness in the wilderness filled with a sense of beauty,

freedom, simplicity, and wholeness.

 

 

Why just the contemplation of green trees for miles and miles and miles intoxicates me.

This same euphoria comes over me when I listen to my favourite music.

It's like being taken to a whole new place within.

Does this happen to you?

Lots of things bring the "wild" feeling whilst in the wilderness.

Things such as breathing in fresh air.

 Hearing and watching the rustling of leaves as the wind blows or a bird nests.

 

 

The pitapat of rain falling.

The life force from the sun.

 The pretty glistening of raindrops on leaves and flowers.

Birds flitting and singing and warbling and cawing.

Butterflies fluttering by.

Owls a-hooting in the woods.

Rabbits, quendas, kangas and the like hip-hopping and scurrying about in the wilderness.

 

 

 

A wanderlust.

Maybe it's about each and every one of us being drawn into a wanderlust journey.

A journey that begins in the magical outer world of the wilderness that flows into our inner world.

As Robyn Davidson says, it's about turning your perception over to the wilderness inside you.

I reckon that's what makes the wilderness bring hoomans alive and feel content!

Why not follow your wanderlust into the wilderness, tuning to your inner wild?
